D.M. Lubbock, TX

I spent toay in a Turkish cafe discussing many things wiht our JSI. We interacted with a little boy of perhaps the owner. He was probably 4 and really enjoying himself. We met an artist from a tatoo shop adn may get the chance to visit with hem later this week. Came back to the park and played frisbee with the group. The hills in the park were created by the rubble from WWII. So much beauty from ashes. Sounds like something God does.
Love you All

Today, I got an amazing chance to use my language skills. God helped me out with a lot of vocab, it was very exciting to be able to help people communicate with each other.

Dear Family and Friends,
Pretty good day. Didn't have a chance to talk to anyone, but that's ok. Napping in the park was nice and the best part is no one bothers you! Hope tomorrow is more intersting.

Hey Mom and Dad,
I met a few people today, mainly people with children.I played with two two-year- olds just by falling in the sand. But when I look back on this day I'll remember talking with M... in my group. He's really having a pretty rough life and is still struggling. Talking with him and hearing how much he's like C... and C... helped me to share with him how his brothers must feel when he does those things. I shared my testimony with him and am praying for him constantly. I love you both. I'll see you soon.

Today as we spent time prayer walking and after and hr or so I was begining to get discouraged because I hadn't been able to talk to anyone. So I prayed and gave the discouragement and frustration over to Him and about 5 mins later, God gave me the opportunity to share with a lady and learn about her and Germany, and God removed the barrier of language. I was able to ask about her faith and also share why we were here. After that we continued to pray for our time on the ministry site- that we may be obedient as God leads us. Thank you for all your prayers, we couldn't do it without them.

Today we studied "reaping" and sharing our story. It's very eye opening and interesting as this is different thatn most of the stuff we learn at church, as far as witnessing techniques go. My group this afternoon got to talk with a woman in a sort of half Germanm, half English, because T... knew more German than me, and then we were saved by another girl on our group who's fluent. Also had a neat time prayerwalking. I'm praying for a chance to talk to a German student and learn more German. We'll see what God opens up. Ther's lots of German students at the hostel who come in last night. This has been an encouraging week for our team and I am grateful for that.

Today, I woke up and didn't feel good. My joints hurt real bad and was so tired. Normal stuff. I was real frustrated because I wanted to prayer wasl and talk to people like the group was. Instead, I prayer sat and played with kids. I was talking to a mom and she asked where I worked with kids at. So I got to tell her about working at the church. Then a 5 yr old taught me how to say things in German by using my sisters Sesamee Street activity book. There, I was reading my bible and found this verse- Icor 15:58. You should look it up so the small things I did were not useless in God's eyes.

Hey peeps, hope things are going great. Today 4 of us went to the playground and played with some of the kids and talked to their parents. We learned some German from a five year old that was there, that was fun. We also played with the soccer ball and frisbee. G2b T2LY
